Mental Health Month

An event every year that begins at 12:00 am on of May, repeating indefinitely
One in four adults have been diagnosed with a mental illness. Approximately 20% of youth ages 13 – 18 experience severe mental disorders in a given year and for ages 8 – 15, the estimate is 13%.
Good mental health is important. Below are some tips to help you achieve it:
~ Talk to people you trust about what’s bothering you
~ Try to find the positive parts of even a bad day
~ Find time to do things you enjoy
~ Get a dose of sunlight every day
~ Spend time exercising and eating well
~ Get enough rest
~ Limit alcohol and avoid cigarettes and other drugs
~ Do not ignore signals that something is stressing you
~ Do not put yourself last on the priority list when caring for others
~ Seek professional help if your feelings seem overwhelming
