Four County Mental Health Center's Alcohol & Drug Outpatient Treatment Services subscribes to the philosophy that alcohol and drug addiction is a disease which reduces the overall quality of life and endangers physical and mental health.  Early intervention is important by treating persons who are abusing alcohol or drugs prior to addiction. However, it is never too late to get help!
The Alcohol/Drug Abuse program also believes  that alcoholism/addiction is a family disease.  The program views treatment of the co-dependency of family members/significant others as an integral part of the treatment program.
The Alcohol & Drug Outpatient Treatment Services at Four County is licensed by the Addiction & Prevention Services (AAPS) under the Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services with the State of Kansas.  The program provides alcohol and drug counseling services on an outpatient basis to residents of Montgomery, Wilson, Elk, and Chautauqua County.  Preventive education services are also available to at risk individuals and their families.
