TEENS THROUGH DIVORCE

A Free Class for Ages 12 to 19

 

          Location:        Four County Mental Health Center - NORTH

                                       1101 Donald Avenue

                                       Independence, Kansas

 

            Instructor:      Gail Norton, Parent Education Coordinator

 

            Time:                3:30 - 5:00 p.m.

The teen will learn:

v      That they didn’t cause the divorce.

v      That even if a parent doesn’t live in the same home with them, they can still love them.

v      How to manage anger they may feel towards parents.

v      Who to talk to about their sadness or anger.

v      To never be afraid to ask questions about the divorce or for a change in custody arrangements.

v      Not to be a messenger in the middle of parents’ problems.

v      The importance of making and keeping their own best friends.

 

 

Deadline for enrollment is the day before the class.
