The
Prevention and Outreach Department of Four County is designed to provide
awareness programs and education about specific issues, such as
parenting, mood problems, substance abuse, life changes and daily
living stress as a primary way for individuals in the surrounding area
to identify problems and take action to make significant changes. A
particular focus is on increasing public awareness and acceptance of
mental illness in hopes of reducing the stigma often associated with
those illnesses. Four County actively partners with other community
agencies by co-sponsoring information fairs, workshops, and other events
which highlight mental health and wellness topics. Support and therapy
groups are available for specific issues also. Informational and
educational materials are available for distribution within the
community.
