Community Based Services
Parent Support Specialist
– (Independence) Full-time opening. Specialist will develop and
maintain parent support groups, provide parent focus groups as
needed, initiate contact with parents, participate in agency and
interagency meetings, providing the parent voice, stating
parental concerns. Involvement in parental issues and staying
current on these issues on a local, state and federal level, a
must. Act as a change agent representing parental issues within
our agency and with other agencies. Bachelor’s Degree in
Social Sciences or related field, or equivalent qualifications
of work experience or a combination of education and work
Case Manager (Project Before)
– (Coffeyville) Full-time opening. Project Before Case Manager
will develop rapport with
diverse families of the targeted population who have children in
the home, age’s birth to 5. Must be able to function in a
strengths-based model of care. Must be able to link families
with resources, coordinate appropriate care/service provision,
and provide documentation of services provided to family unit.
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Early
Childhood, or a related area OR four years equivalent experience
in provision of services to children and families.
Coordinator of Project Before and Early Childhood Mental Health
– (Coffeyville) Full-time opening. The Coordinator oversees
the services and employees
involved in Early Childhood Consultation and collaboration with
multiple agencies/systems. Meets grant responsibilities and the
tasks associated with this position. Must possess a Master’s
Degree in Psychology or Social Work with the accompanying
PRN Children's Respite Workers for Kids Konnections Program
- (Cowley) (6) Part-time/PRN openings. Children's Respite
Workers are needed to work one-on-one in a home-like setting
with children 3 to 18 years old. Considered applicants must be
at least 21 years old. GED or high school diploma and at least
two years of paid experience in the Human Services Field or two
years of college course work in the field of human services.
Also acceptable is a combination of both paid Human Services
experience and college course work in the Human Services field
to the equivalent of two years.
Community Support Services-
Attendant Care - Supported Living
(Independence) Full-time opening. This position works within a
housing setting with persons with severe and persistent mental
illness to assist them with daily living skills and with general
supervision and assistance. Education required is high school
diploma or GED.
Peer Support Specialist
– (Independence) Part-time opening. MUST BE a
recovering mental health patient.
Help develop a network of information and support from others
who have been through similar experiences to patients with
severe and persistent mental illnesses.
Requires a high school diploma/GED and
meet the State of Kansas qualification for Certified Peer
Specialist by completing the CAP program or complete a 5 day
training by WSU.
Attendant Care Worker
– (Independence) Part-time opening. This position provides
one-on-one support and supervision to clients and families in
home and community settings using the strengths-based model of
care. High School diploma or GED required.
"Connections - Transportation Services
Attendant Care - School Based
(Multiple School Districts) (6) Part-time openings. The
attendant care will assist children with special needs inside
the classroom so they can better function with their fellow
students to complete the tasks given by the teacher. Must be
able to work well with children with no record of abuse. Must
have a high school diploma or GED.
Crisis Services “Standby” Attendant Care
– (Independence) (2) Part-time openings. This position works
directly with our patients in the roles of observation and
transportation. Crisis Standby Attendant Care should
skills, have the ability to work with persons with mental and/or
physical impairments, and possess the ability to react
effectively in a wide variety of human service situations. Must
be 18 years of age or older and possess a High School
Diploma or GED.
