Administrative/Operations
  • Clerical Support – (Independence) Full-time opening. Selected candidate will help cover the front desk by taking phone calls, scheduling appointments, greeting patients, etc.  Good office and customer services skills a must.  High School diploma or GED required.

  • Staff Accountant - (Independence) Full-time opening. Primary responsibilities will be to manage the Agency’s account payables, manage fixed assets, conduct internal control audits, and prepare governmental and grant financial reporting.  Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or have a minimum of 5 years accounting experience, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic office technology.

  • Human Resource Recruiting Specialist - (Independence) - Full-time opening. Seeking a dynamic, team-player to lead our recruiting efforts and support existing HR personnel and activities. Demonstrated expertise in managing recruiting activities preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, or a related field or equivalent number of years of experience (or combination of the two) required.  

  • Billing - (Independence) Full-Time opening. Selected applicant will work alongside teammates within the billing department, conducting all billing operations involving Medicaid, Medicare, third-party payers, collections, and follow-up. Ability to work as part of a team as well as excellent computer and mathematical skills are required. The minimum educational requirement consists of a High School Diploma or GED required. Preference will be given to those with at least one year’s experience working in any the following areas: A/R, collections, related 10 key work, or data entry.

Community Based Services  - Children

  • Case Manager (CPST) – (Cowley) – Full-time openings. The CPST Case Manager works with children diagnosed as Severely Emotionally Disturbed (SED) and must be able to develop a therapeutic rapport with diverse individuals of the targeted population. Must be able to assess and function in a strengths based model of care, and be able to link patients with resources, coordinate appropriate treatment and provide documentation for the clinical record. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience in the Human Services Field required.

  • PRN Children's Respite Workers for Kids Konnections Program - (Cowley)  (2) Part-time/PRN openings.  Children's Respite Workers are needed to work one-on-one in a home-like setting with children 3 to 18 years old. Considered applicants must be at least 21 years old. GED or high school diploma and at least two years of paid experience in the Human Services Field or two years of college course work in the field of human services. Also acceptable is  a combination of both paid Human Services experience and college course work in the Human Services field to the equivalent of two years.

Community Support Services- Adults

  • Night Attendant Care - (Independence) (2) part-time openings. Seeking staff to work 8pm-8am on Mondays and Tuesdays or 8pm-8am on Wednesdays and Thursdays. These positions provide one-on-one support and supervision to patients with severe and persistent mental illness in the activities of daily living or in maintaining daily routines critical to a stable life style. This position also involves training patients in daily living skills and monitoring patient progress towards meeting treatment plan goals. High School diploma or GED required.

  • Adult Case Manager (CPST) - (Cowley) (2) Full-time openings. Case managers are needed to work with adults with severe and persistent mental illness. Involves flexible hours and travel within the county and surrounding area (agency will reimburse for mileage). Must have dependable and vehicle, valid driver’s license, and driving record which meets compliance with agency’s liability carrier’s driving requirements. Position consists primarily of aiding patients in accessing needed community resources. Bachelor’s degree, four years of experience in the field of human services or a combination of the two to the equivalent of four years is required. Demonstrated familiarity with major forms of mental illness including characteristics of severely and persistently mentally ill adults preferred.

  • Attendant Care - (Coffeyville) full-time opening. This position provides one-on-one support and supervision to patients with severe and persistent mental illness in the activities of daily living or in maintaining daily routines critical to a stable life style. This position also involves training patients in daily living skills and monitoring patient progress towards meeting treatment plan goals. High School diploma or GED required.

  • Clubhouse Psychosocial Specialist - (Coffeyville) 1 full-time opening. This position entails working individually with patients to assist in their growth and recovery while providing strengths and recovery based group and individual interventions, assisting in the organization of units that are work ordered and designed to assist individuals in daily problem solving, improve social skills, promote health, and enhance personal relationships. High School diploma or GED is required. Applicants should also have a dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and driving record which meets compliance with agency’s liability carrier’s driving requirements.

  • Peer Support Specialist- (Cowley) Part-Time Opening. This position helps patients develop a network of information and support for patients with mental illness. All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, have personal life experience receiving mental health support services, reliable transportation and a good driving record. Selected applicant will receive training and support in becoming certified through the State of Kansas.

Clinical Services
  • Alcohol & Drug Counselor – (Cowley) Full-time opening. The counselor is responsible for providing alcohol and drug treatment services and providing consultation services to individuals and organizations in the community as needed. Potential applicants must be licensed or immediately eligible for licensure in Kansas as an LAC or LCAC. 

  • Community Health Center Integrated Care Therapist - (Coffeyville) Full-Time Opening. This therapist is responsible for providing mental health and/or alcohol and drug treatment services (individual, family, and group therapy) in a school setting as well as providing mental health consultation services to individuals and organizations in the community. Requires a minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited institution which provides graduate training in social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy.  Potential applicants must be licensed or immediately eligible for licensure as an LMSW, LSCSW, LMFT, LCMFT, LMLP, LCP, LPC, or LCPC in the State of Kansas

  • Peer Recovery Mentor - (Cowley) Part-time opening. This position consists of helping develop a network of information and support for others who have been through similar experiences as patients with substance abuse disorders and/or mental illness, assisting patients in regaining the ability to make independent choices and play an active role in their own treatment and sharing and supporting the use of recovery tools. Selected applicant must have a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated personal recovery experience. Also required are a dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Crisis Services

  • School Based Attendant Care (Independence and Sedan positions available) Part-time openings. This position is ideal for individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of area children.  Position entails assisting children in a school setting to reach their identified goals. Training provided. Minimum requirements:  High School Diploma or GED and dependability.  

  • Crisis Diversion Services Therapist (On-Call) - (Cowley) A Crisis Clinician is needed to provide emergency services for both adults and children in the Cowley County catchment area. Position is full-time, based out of the Winfield office and requires flexible hours. Candidates shall have current LMFT, LCMFT, LMSW, LSCSW, or LP licensure. Ability to provide excellent customer service to agency business partners and patients is a must.

  • Crisis Services “Standby” Attendant Care – (Cowley) (3) Part-time openings. This position works directly with our patients in the roles of observation and transportation.  Crisis Standby Attendant Care should demonstrate interpersonal skills, have the ability to work with persons with mental and/or physical impairments, and possess the ability to react effectively in a wide variety of human service situations.  Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a High School Diploma or GED.

Medical Services
  • Targeted Case Manager/Care Coordinator- (Independence) Full-Time opening. Responsible for coordinating the care of mental health patients as well as Health Home patients found to have a severe mental illness or a qualifying chronic health condition. Position entails documenting services provided, ensuring service compliance with required guidelines, assisting patients in coordinating their care, as well as assisting patients in achieving treatment goals. Seeking someone with a passion to help patients, who possesses strong verbal and written communications skills and is highly self-motivated and organized. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the human services field is required.

  • Medical Services Office Nurse - (Cowley) Full-time opening.  This position entails managing provider schedules, administering and monitoring medications as directed by providers and providing medical assessments as assigned including awareness of medication side effects. Selected candidate should be able to work under pressure, exhibit sound judgment in crisis and routine situations, be flexible and maintain a positive attitude while providing excellent customer service to agency patients and community partners. Our minimum acceptability criterion requires successful completion of accredited nursing school program and being currently registered in the State of Kansas. Applicants should also have a dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and driving record which meets compliance with agency’s liability carrier’s driving requirements.

Connections - Transportation Services

  • Transportation "Connections" Drivers - (Cowley/Independence) (5) Part-time openings for drivers to transport people throughout the local communities. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must have the ability to work with elderly and disabled persons and possess the ability to react effectively in a wide variety of human service situations. High School Diploma or GED required. Applicants should also have a dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and driving record which meets compliance with agency’s liability carrier’s driving requirements, including the ability to drive all vehicle types owned and operated by the agency.

Active Partners - In Home Services & Home Health

  • Home Health Attendant - (Multiple Areas) Part-time positions. Will work with individuals in need of home health services. Must be 18 years of age or older; possess demonstrated interpersonal skills; have effective verbal and written communication skills; have the ability to work with elderly and disabled persons; possess the ability to react effectively in a wide variety of human service situations; and pass pre-employment screens. Must be able to work independently and as a productive member of a team. Current State of Kansas certification for Home Health Aid or Certified Nurses Aid helpful, but not required.
